They are always very friendly when making appointments, during consultations, and when paying. However, when something is needed to expedite any process following a consultation, the reception is best left unattended because they don't facilitate anything at all, and if we pay (and pay well), it's so we can have access to a different kind of service that is lacking in the public system. To give you an idea, I never had the contact information for any pediatrician, and everyone has the contact information for their children's pediatricians for any emergency. But even though they aren't obligated to provide it, the reception should then act as a bridge in these situations! My son has already had two different pediatricians. The first one downplayed the signs of autism and behavioral issues that the second doctor noticed as soon as my son entered the office. And in an emergency consultation, they charged me sixty euros (standard price - without insurance) to prescribe Nasomet, when I went there because for eight days, and after two missed visits to São Bernardo Hospital, my son has been complaining of a sore throat and his mucus is green and bloody, even though he didn't have a fever on the day of the consultation. So, maybe they prescribed Nasomet to combat the stuffy nose? As a result, that same night my son developed a fever again, so I called there the next morning and, of course, the friendliness was different. The person who answered immediately said that the same doctor from the previous day wasn't there, that it would be someone else, and when I said that I had paid €60 for them to prescribe Nasomet and that, following that consultation, he had developed a fever again, nobody gave me any help, as is obvious. I always get the feeling that the priority is taking the money, and then everything else falls apart. After all, it's the same as the public sector when it comes to taking responsibility... I'm not even talking about the money... A single mother does every
At the Setúbal pediatric hospital, there are children who, between 6 am and 6 am, are registered but have no set time to be seen after 6 am, even though doctors are inside the hospital ward. However, it takes hours to call a child. No one seems to care about the political conflict between the government and the doctors.
I highly recommend it for pediatric care in various areas. Excellent and practical, with the possibility of handling minor emergencies. I particularly highlight Dr. Filipa Nunes in the area of osteopathy. Dedicated, concerned, and very attentive to the child's needs. She dedicates the necessary time to each consultation, striving to improve the child's well-being.
