I approached this office looking for local synergy as an international marketing strategist with a global portfolio of digital assets. Despite being given the ‘all-clear’ to enter by a staff member outside, the experience was a complete breakdown of professional standards. ​I was met at the door by an aggressive dog and held on the threshold for an interrogation. I explicitly stated that a doorway is no place for a professional strategic conversation, yet even after a dog was allowed to snap aggressively at me on the doorstep, the woman in charge continued questioning me as though nothing was wrong. ​When a business is so disconnected that they ignore a physical safety issue to continue a defensive interrogation, they’ve lost the plot. I stated for a second time that I would not have a professional conversation on a doorstep and chose to leave, as the lady was trying to qualify if I was worth her time, bu making me feel as though I was an intrusion. For an agency that claims to lead in 'first impressions,' this was a masterclass in hostility and a total failure of hospitality. Truly a missed opportunity for them.
