Jelgava bus station

Not the cleanest or nicest but gets the job done, recommend buying tickets online as sometimes it can be sold out if you buy from the drivers

Very hepful multilingual staff (speaking both Russian and English) and very cheap transportation prices, but unfortunately the place itself looks a bit shabby and needs some TLC and a facelift

This place is awful… seems like a hangout for homeless people. It smells like cigarette butts no matter where you sit. There seems to be a cafe or bar or something in the building of the bus station, which means you can hear yelling and singing at noon - I didn’t even risk going inside to check if there’s a toilet there. This is really important: BUY the tickets in ADVANCE in the Mobilly app!!! You might think a bus to the capital city of Latvia will mean the bus will be a regular bus… this one was the size of a van. The people who didn’t buy a ticket in advance had to stand the whole way or couldn’t get inside in the first place since people with tickets had taken the seats.
