With regards to my Business Profile, I asked to speak to a representative regarding reviews that are in violation of Google policies, which have been reported and appealed and still have not been removed. The "supervisor" did not know if the reviews reported and appealed are managed by humans or machines. He said that even if they violate google policies they cannot be removed by any other process. He refused to forward this matter to a person who is actually responsible or is even aware on the particulars of this issue. Overall, the "supervisor" said that this is it, it is a free product, and we don't care if you like it or not, despite the fact that it is not actually a free product or the fact that it has a monopoly on the market. They keep shadowbanning people's legitimate and honest reviews for no reason and they just give you excuses afterwards, instead of fixing the issue and reinstating the real and legit reviews. On the other hand there are plenty of fake accounts that post reviews that violate their own policies and they still allow them online without second thought. If it is an ai algorithm issue just hire capable technicians in order to address the issue and fix it once and for all. Otherwise this means plain discrimination and shady practices of prohibition of freedom of speech. I was considering in buying some google products but after such an unethical behavior, I think I will pass.
